I North/Sápmi opportunities become reality through cross-boarder cooperation

The program’s vision is built on the opportunities that exist in the region; unique natural and cultural resources, solidarity across the borders, solid key industries, top competences and industries with growth potential. Cooperation is facilitated by improved and increased communications and presents a dynamic where ideas are being developed into new know-how, products and services. North/Sápmi is an attractive and vital region where solidarity exists across the borders and where people are proud of their region and its features.

North

The overall objective of Interreg IVA North is to strengthen competitiveness and solidarity within the program area. Strengthened regional competence means that an increased number of new and/or existing companies manage to grow while competing with other companies both within the region and in other parts of the world. Strengthened regional solidarity means that a number of social networks and contacts are being established through face-to-face meetings during program implementation.

Sápmi

The overall objective of the Sápmi sub-program is to develop Sami culture, trade and industry with the help of all assets of the Sami society in a way that respects environment and prioritises long-term use of the resources.
