| ProjectDescription | Background
This region has a major unutilized potential for development increasing in heating as well as electricity and fuel production by using near by produced raw material from forest. Processing can be done through small and medium sized thermal unit, CHP, in population centre in rural areas as well as medium and larger sized fuel production construction. In order to develop CHP and fuel production constructions it demands more research. One important part in that research is how to develop gasification of biomass/biofuel in a rational and profitable way. There are a number of special advantages in the project area that that makes conditions good for developing and increasing the number of local CHP units and regional fuel production construction.
One of the reasons to why a local bio energy refinement advanced slowly compared to the large-scale is for instance there are a lack of knowledge about technical equipment and their function for establishing smaller CHP constructions in order to ennoble biomass through gasification.
Objective and aim
The project aim at develop alternative for a high refinement of bio energy for local using of raw material through processing. Processing can partly be done through local entrepreneurs and energy cooperative that can develop and apply experiences from the project. In the project will different refinement processes and types of purification technique and can be followed and evaluate through techno economic analysis.
To contribute to developing of methods and technique for handling bio energy and refinement through gasification. Methods and technique for refinement and using of bio energy will be done in an environmental friendly way. By more knowledge you can improve conditions for creating new and increase local activities for refinement and using of bio energy raw material in the projects field of activities
