Project NameInnoPreneurship
ProjectDescriptionBackground Developing the northern regions of Sweden, Norway and Finland is dependent of new innovations and specific new enterprise in form of establishing new companies. Traditional has creative of new enterprises not direct been linked to universities. They have rather the task to support major companies with competent labour force. In recent years has the university get a bigger role for increased enterprising spirit in the form of that students choose to start companies after graduation. It is still relatively few students that choose enterprise as a profession compared to other groups. In spite of the fact that enterprising spirit (entrepreneurship) is among most universities courses offered is there still much to be done. We know how important enterprising spirit is for society but we don’t know as much when it comes to train to create it. In the latest report concerning Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) there are obvious indications that the parameter TEA (total entrepreneurial activity) still is low in Finland and Sweden while Norway is an exception among Nordic countries with relatively high level of new enterprises. Therefore we intend to develop the cross border competence in education skills in enterprising spirit in the northern part of the Nordic countries. Objective and aim The project will build competence among teachers in universities to educate entrepreneurial pedagogy within university fields but with the emphasis on technique, business developing and teacher education. The aim of the project is as follow: 1. By analyzing present condition of things in education round entrepreneurship within partner universities we will be able to a. Exchange knowledge and experience b. Renew methods, content and pedagogic 2. Create an overall view on education linked to entrepreneurship in the Nordic. 3. Facilitate for fully certificated students to set up new companies as well as develop already existing in our region. 4. Produce scientific research in the sphere of entrepreneurship linked to education.
