| Project Name | Integrating media production with the new inodes of communication (MEDlA) |

| ProjectDescription | The objective is to cooperate across the Nordic borders (northern Sweden and northern Finland) with a view to strengthen the quality of education and research as well as to increase the cooperation with media enterprises. The overall objective of the project is to establish a platform for the industry-oriented research within the field of media in the region.
The aims of the project are as follows:
1. Establish a joint transnational high quality research platform.
2. Develop a well functioning cross-border network between the universities and media enterprises.
3. Establish conditions to strengthen concerned enterprises by showing a good example and apply research results to media production enterprises.
4. Obtain research results that can be published and can be used by media enterprises.
5. Stimulate an increased cooperation between media enterprises as well as between media enterprises and universities.
6. Expand the network internationally and thus establish conditions for participating in the EU framework program (FP7/FP8).
