| ProjectDescription | Background
VSP – Vision System Platform offer advantages for all participating partners. For basic industry are there solutions for specific process problems and by that more reliable and effective processes. For companies in information and communication is it a market for new products aim at basic industry. For academy there will be an increased knowledge which creates possibilities for paper and theses. By stimulating cooperation between basic industries, universities and technical companies in the region active in optic sphere possibilities for a long term functional network arise between the actors.
When it comes to the technical area of optic it is on its way to develop rapidly because of the development of technology. From research point of view is the project just in time since earlier cooperation has form a basis for deeper cooperation.
A fundamental condition for realization of the project is that there are a lack of solutions in the market and a commercial base for actors to on their own run this type of research and demonstration. Costs and risks are too high. The research platform gives asset to competence and technical development which reduce risk and make technique more commercial practicable. Through demonstration activities can users see that technique functions, suppliers companies get a good starting point for a commercial develop project at the same time as research at universities strengthen.
Aim
Aim is to develop competence in optical technique further.
Objective
The purpose is to
1. Develop a well functioned cross border network in the sphere of optic between universities, basic industry and information and communication industry.
2. Create a common platform for research.
3. Create possibilities for solving industrial measure technical problem.
4. Stimulate developing of new products and services for information and communication companies.
5. New business opportunities in information and communication on the global market.
6. Cross border triple helix cooperation in the region.
7. Expand network international foremost by taking part in FP7.
