Present ownership and copyright system of today is unfavourably for indigenous people. Internationally they are trying to find a solution. Sami Council is striving for with this information and education project to investigate and distribute information about immaterial rights.
Objective and aim
Purpose of this preliminary study is to search solutions for:
- How Sami people themselves shall be more conscious about their rights and possibilities in connection with the Sami culture heritage, especially concerning development of the industry.
- How to strengthen industry concerning the Sami culture heritage.
- How other actors could be better conscious about Sami culture heritage.
