This doesn’t only concern physical relic but also the invisible, immaterial culture heritage. In order to be protected by all sorts of exploiting is it necessary for the Sami culture environment is known. Objective The project will generate new cross border knowledge about south Sami history and culture landscape. Such documentation is necessary for understanding of importance and value of the ground. Results from documentation will become an important basic data for planning that can contribute to growth and development of industry. Aim It’s crucial to make south Sápmi landscape and people’s presence in landscape visible and strengthen. South Sami history and areas for settlement and industry are, not least in Sami connection, unfamiliar with. An important task for the project will be to set out basis on today unknown state of things. The project will work to create interests for south Sami history and way of living at education and research centre as well as to generate new basis for research. Knowledge about own culture landscape is a link in a tenability perspective and is necessary to protect valuable culture environment. One important intermediate goal is to create network. The most important network is between south Sami institutions and organisations with Sami competence on both sides of the border. This network shall lead to a lasting cooperation so that each organisations competence is taken care of and used. It is also important to create network between organisations, research institutions and college involved in the project.
